Point of contact
The single point of contact for the authorities of the Member States of the European Union, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (Article 11 DSA) and for users and other persons (Article 12 DSA) is the e-mail address kontakt@bakepilot.pl. You can also call +48 519 109 063 on working days between 9:00 and 17:00 (Polish time); the call is handled by a human, not a machine. The point of contact can be communicated with in the following languages: Polish and English.
Where we store other people's content
- The BakePilot application (app.bakepilot.pl and the Android app) - data entered by pastry shops and bakeries. We do not make it publicly available. Rules: § 12a of the Terms of Service.
- Comments on the blog of bakepilot.pl - published after the e-mail address is confirmed. Rules: comment rules.
- The Edukacja course catalog - course descriptions added by organizers, published after review by a human. Rules: Edukacja catalog terms (in Polish).
How to report illegal content
Anyone, including people without an account, can report content they consider illegal using the form on the page bakepilot.com/report-content, the “Report” button next to a blog comment, the “Report this course” link on a course page or by e-mail to the point of contact address. The report should contain an explanation of why the content is illegal, its address or a description of where it is, the name and surname or company name and the e-mail address of the person reporting (these are not required when reporting child sexual abuse) and a statement of good faith.
We confirm receipt of the report by e-mail. The report is reviewed by a human, without automated tools, without undue delay, within 7 days at the latest. We inform the person reporting of the decision together with information about the possibility of appeal.
How we moderate
- We do not review, on our own initiative, the content that pastry shops store in the application.
- Blog comments are read by a human after they are published; courses are reviewed by a human before they are published.
- We do not use automated assessment or automated removal of content. The comment and report forms are protected against bots by Cloudflare Turnstile, which does not assess content.
- When we hide or remove a comment or reject or hide a course, we send the author an e-mail with a statement of reasons: what we did and for how long, which facts the decision is based on, whether it resulted from a report, on what basis (a legal provision or a rule) and how to appeal. We do not send it in the case of mass advertising spam.
Appeals
Every decision we make (to remove or hide content, or to leave reported content in place) can be appealed by writing to kontakt@bakepilot.pl within 6 months of receiving the decision. The appeal is reviewed by a human within 14 days. Independently of this, you may go to court and, once national provisions enter into force, file a complaint with the Digital Services Coordinator.
Orders from authorities and threats to life
Orders to act against illegal content and orders to provide information (Articles 9 and 10 DSA) are sent by authorities to the point of contact address. We confirm their receipt and, without undue delay, inform the authority of the action taken.
If we become aware of content giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence threatening the life or safety of persons, we promptly notify the law enforcement authorities (Article 18 DSA). If you see such a threat, first call the emergency number 112.
